With Me Music Video Release

We collaborated with filmmaker & animator Luke Mistruzzi from Powerline Films to make this psychedelic video for Toronto-based band Language Arts. The video features footage from the streets of Hamilton, the beaches of Oaxaca, and the mountains of BC — paired with found footage and projected through a giant kaleidoscope. Synopsis
A short documentary about Marvin Bedward, a 65-year old business executive who refuses to cut his hair. Traumatized by the white barbers who ruined his Afro when he was a child, Marvin sees his long hair as an act of resistance to authority, mainstream culture and his wife.

#GGArts 2017 Winners Film Commission

The Canada Council in partnership with the Independent Media Arts Alliance commissioned a series of short films on the winners of the 2017 Governor General’s Awards in Visual and Media Arts. Third Culture Media had the pleasure to make a film on Toronto-based visual artist, Shelagh Keeley. Directed by Maya Annik Bedward, the film is now available online and on Air Canada’s in-flight entertainment system, spring 2017.
