Third Culture Media Inc. is a narrative-driven production company based in Toronto, Canada. Established in 2015, Third Culture creates compelling documentary and fiction work that promises to reflect the growing cultural diversity in contemporary society. Fun and thought-provoking, we produce short, mid-length and feature productions for traditional and digital platforms. Our independent productions have screened at festivals across Canada, North America and Europe and sold to Air Canada and the CBC. 

Job Description

3-month contract (with the possibility of extension)

We are looking to hire a self-motivated, well organized individual to assist with implementing our digital marketing and communications strategy. Experience coordinating social media campaigns is a must, and a general knowledge of the Canadian film and television industry is an asset. 

Other duties for this position include:

  • Research target audience and discover current trends
  • Create engaging text, video, and image content
  • Develop and implement a social media campaign for 2022 film festivals
  • Monitor web traffic
  • Develop optimal posting schedule
  • Manage digital assets and contact lists

Requirements:

Required skills and experience:

  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized, hard working and able to thrive in high-pressure situations
  • A quick learner
  • Proficient in social media, graphic design, image and basic video editing
  • Proficiency in other languages an asset

Please note this position is funded through the Federal Government’s YESS Program and applicants must meet the following criteria for employment:

  • Must be a Canadian Citizen or have Permanent Residency status
  • Must be 18-30 years of age
